Cherry Compote

A blend of cherries and orange juice makes this a sweet and tart ruby red sauce. Ideal as a cheesecake topper or sundae sauce.

Instructions

1. Place ingredients in medium saucepan.

2. Stir mixture over medium heat until sugar dissolves and comes to boil, 5-7 minutes.

3. Mash fruit with the back of a spoon until lightly crushed.

4. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5-7 additional minutes.

5. Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes.

6. Serve over cheesecake slices or place in airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Tip: For additional flavor add ¼ tsp ground cinnamon or ginger. Great served warm over chicken and pork.
