Frozen Peppermint and Chocolate Torte

Delicious, candy-coated and colorful. This cake says holiday!



  • 1/2 carton
    Peppermint Stick Ice Cream (217), softened
  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 1/4 cup
    shaved chocolate for garnish
  • 1 cup
    chocolate fudge topping
  • 1/4 cup
    peppermint candies, chopped


1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Pour batter into rimmed cookie sheet or jelly roll pan lined with wax paper.

3. Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool completely. Cut lengthwise into 3 even pieces.

4. Warm fudge topping in microwave 1 minute. Spread fudge over top of each cake piece. Let cool.

5. Spread softened ice cream over 2 cake pieces. Stack cake and ice cream layers one on top of another.

6. Place remaining cake piece on top. Carefully wrap torte in plastic wrap and freeze 2 hours. Garnish with chopped peppermint candies.
