Our frozen LiveSmart® cod fillets are all-natural with no additives or preservatives, wild-caught and flash-frozen within hours to preserve freshness and flavor. A source of lean protein and Omega-3 fatty acids, our cod comes from a fishery that has been independently certified as being responsibly managed. These white, flaky cod fillets have been wild-caught and specially selected for consistent size and thickness, then hand-trimmed to generous 6-ounce boneless, skinless portions that are individually vacuum-sealed so it’s easy to prepare 1 or 2 of the four fillets, keeping the others frozen for another day. Whether they’re grilled, baked, pan-fried, poached, seared or broiled, our frozen cod fillets are a quick and versatile way to enjoy a flavorful seafood for a special dinner or everyday meal. Preparation

  • Prepare from THAWED State.
  • Appliances may vary, adjust accordingly.
  • TO THAW SLOWLY: Remove fish from vacuum wrap and thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
  • TO THAW QUICKLY: Keep fish in vacuum wrap and thaw in cold running water for 30 minutes.
  • 1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • 2. Brush 2 fillets with olive oil, butter or margarine on both sides. Season as desired.
  • 3. Place fillets in a single layer onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
  • 4. Bake on center rack for 8 minutes and turn over.
  • 5. Bake for 7 - 8 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • 6. Let stand 1 minute.
  • Promptly refrigerate any unused heated portion.
  • FOR FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY, FOLLOW THESE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE COOKED TO AN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF 145°F PRIOR TO EATING.
