These perfect little pockets of savory tastiness are a perfect addition to a Mexican-style meal or make a meaty, mouthwatering mini-meal all on their own. We've done all the work of cooking and wrapping for you, so all you need to do to enjoy traditional tamales is pop them in the microwave and prepare to enjoy.

Preparation

    • Microwave Microwave
  • Prepare from FROZEN state.
  • Appliances may vary, adjust accordingly.
  • 1. Wrap 1 husk-wrapped tamale in a damp paper towel and place onto a microwave-safe dish.
  • 2. Cook on high for 2 1/2 - 3 minutes.
  • 3. Let stand 1 minute.
  • 4. Remove husk prior to eating.
  • Promptly refrigerate any unused heated portion.
  • FOR FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY, FOLLOW THESE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS. THIS PRODUCT MUST BE COOKED TO AN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF 160°F PRIOR TO EATING.

  • 1. Bring 2 inches of water to boil in a medium saucepan.
  • 2. Arrange 4 husk-wrapped tamales in a steam basket.
  • 3. Place steam basket into saucepan over water and cover tightly.
  • 4. Steam over medium-high heat for 20 - 22 minutes.
  • 5. Let stand 1 minute.
  • 6. Remove husk prior to eating.
  • Promptly refrigerate any unused heated portion.
