At Schwan’s Home Delivery, safety is always our top priority. This means, at times, we need to change the way we operate to ensure we safeguard our employees -- and the communities we serve.
We are proactively instituting a change to our operating hours that will impact your delivery schedule. Operating hours in your area will now be:
10am – 7pm
This means you can expect your delivery about one hour earlier. For example, if you typically receive delivery between 5pm and 8pm, you will now receive your delivery between 4pm and 7pm.
We assure you that our customers remain our focus during this time and ask that you please be patient while we safely work to continue serving our communities. As always, you have the flexible option to place an order for drop-off delivery anytime. If the new, earlier time no longer works for you, or you have any other questions, we are here to answer any questions you may have at 1-888-SCHWANS (1-888-724-9267) or through the chat feature on Schwans.com.

That commitment means we change the ways we work, and tirelessly focus on maintaining stock of the foods you love -- while closely monitoring market conditions to deliver the best value to our customers to keep food on the table.
During this challenging time, product availability and pricing will fluctuate for beef and pork products. Ongoing demand will create periods of short supply, and market conditions throughout the grocery industry will cause price increases. As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation continues to evolve, we are working hard to feed and serve our customers and their families. Our top priority, as always, is keeping our employees and communities healthy – and that means we are taking steps to work safer, smarter and differently.
At-the-Door Safety for Customers and Employees
Our employees are following new precautions when visiting customers, including maintaining a safe, six-foot distance during at-the-door conversations and not entering customer homes. We also have replaced paper receipts with email receipts (no signature needed), discontinued our promotional brochures, and eliminated any back-and-forth handling of our catalog – though we’ll gladly leave a catalog for you to keep.
We have strict safety protocols in place for all employees. Our depot employees adhere to social distancing at work – including six-foot distancing from colleagues. We’ve staged shifts to limit the number of employees in the depot. We follow the CDC’s health and personal hygiene guidelines and conduct symptom checks with all employees. We also are sanitizing our depots and offices more often, ensuring our workplaces are clean and safe.
Backed by 68 years of experience and trust, we can provide you with high-quality food, delivered straight to your doorstep without having to interact face-to-face with anyone. If you place an online order with Schwan’s Home Delivery, we will deliver your products in a freezer bag outside your door. No personal contact or signature is needed. If you have a freezer bag, please leave it out for your driver to re-use on your order.

If your neighborhood isn’t on one of our yellow truck routes, you can still get our products delivered to you! When ordering from us online, just select the UPS® option at checkout. Your order will be shipped directly to you by UPS®, packed with dry ice in an insulated cooler and delivered to your doorstep. Again, no signature or personal contact is needed.
Because we are eliminating potentially unsafe interactions between our customers and delivery drivers, we will no longer accept cash at the door. We understand this may disappoint some customers who use cash as a preferred method of payment, but we believe handling soiled dollar bills and coins is too great of a health risk. As always, customers may pay with a credit or debit card, or a check.
Also, with the increased demand in drop-off deliveries, we are now requiring customers have a credit card number for all orders placed online, by app or by phone. This will ensure you can place an order and get your products without personal contact. You can securely add a credit or debit card to your account on Schwans.com or our app, or by phone.
Providing Food When You Need It
Please take comfort in knowing we are classified as an essential service provider – so even as stay-at-home guidance is issued by cities and states, we will continue to be here for you. If you need to stock up or replenish at any time, visit your account on Schwans.com to see options for different or additional delivery days. Although some products are in very high demand, we are working with our suppliers to refill that stock as quickly as we can.
