Delicious, hot and crisp. A great bake and take item to serve at parties or potlucks. Cut into slices or use corn chips to scoop out the filling.



Ingredients and Steps


10 Country Sausage Patties (441), thawed

2 Tbsp jalapeno pepper, minced
1/2 cup diced red pepper
1/2 cup diced green peppers
2 green onion, chopped (optional)
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese
1 pkg (8oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 loaves French Baguette Bread (667), thawed

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. Prepare sausage patties according to package directions. Crumble and drain.

3. Add jalapeno peppers, bell peppers and green onions to sausage and saute for 5-7 minutes.

4. Stir in cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

5. Cut French bread in half lenghtwise and scoop out some of the bread.

6.  Fill hollowed-out loaves with sausage-cheese mixture and wrap each half loaf in aluminum foil.

7. Place on baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes.
