Serve this deluxe salad with a “secret ingredient” once and it will become a family favorite. The “secret sprouts” give this pasta salad texture and a slight crunch.


Ingredients and Steps


1/2 pkg (8 oz) angel hair pasta, broken into 3"
1/2 bag Jumbo Cooked Tail-On Shrimp (544), thawed & quartered

1 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbsp vinegar
1 medium green peppers, diced
1 tomato, seeded & chopped
1 medium onions, diced
1 cup Green Peas (766), prepared and chilled

1 can bean sprouts, drained
1 small can water chestnuts, drained
2 hard-boiled eggs, diced


1. Cook, rinse, drain and chill pasta.

2. Cut shrimp in half. Reserve a few for garnish.

3. Stir together the salad dressing, milk, sugar and vinegar to make a dressing.

4. Combine pasta, shrimp and remaining ingredients, except eggs.

5. Pour prepared dressing over ingredients and gently mix.

6. Garnish with eggs and whole shrimp.
