Banana French Toast with Maple Cream Cheese Sauce

Our crisp and tasty French bread bakes into a warm sweet scrumptious breakfast or brunch.  Bananas, brown sugar and crunchy nuts are the topper. The ultimate cream cheese and maple syrup drizzle is a must try treat.


Ingredients and Steps


2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 loaf French Baguette Bread (667), prepared & cut into 1/2" slices

2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. brown sugar, divided
2 medium bananas, sliced
1 Tbsp. pecans, chopped
1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup maple syrup


1. Preheat oven to 425°F. 

2. Pour melted butter into a 9"x13"  baking dish and top with sliced bread.  

3. Beat eggs, milk, vanilla and 1 Tbsp. of the brown sugar.  Pour mixture over bread and let soak for 10 minutes. Turn bread over and top with sliced bananas.

4. Mix together remaining brown sugar and pecans. Sprinkle over bananas.  Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. 

5. Blend together cream cheese and maple syrup. Microwave on High for 30-60 seconds.

6. Drizzle over French toast and serve.
