An old world favorite! This simple sauté of bacon, pierogies and our customer favorite onions and mushrooms is certain to take you back in time as you enjoy pure comfort food.

6 slices Pepper Bacon (417), thawed

1/2 bag Pierogies (778), frozen

1 cup Grilled Onions and Mushrooms (#167), frozen
1 medium red pepper, sliced
1 medium green pepper, sliced
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp. chopped chives

Steps

1. Cut bacon into 3/4" slices. Cook bacon till crisp. Remove from pan.

2. Sauté pierogies, onions and mushrooms and peppers in bacon drippings for 6-8 minutes or until lightly brown. Stir in water.

3. To serve, top with sour cream, chives and cooked bacon.
