1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Place shredded hash browns in lightly oiled 9" x 9" baking dish and top with American processed cheese slices.
3. Pour half & half evenly into over potatoes and cheese.
4. Mix bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
5. Season with salt, pepper and bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown.
