  • 1/2 carton
    Peppermint Stick Ice Cream (217), softened
  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 1/4 cup
    Shaved chocolate for garnish
  • 1 cup
    chocolate fudge topping
  • 1/4 cup
    peppermint candies, chopped


1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Pour batter into a rimmed cookie sheet or jelly roll pan lined with wax paper. Bake 15-20 minutes or until cake is baked through. Cool completely. Cut lengthwise into 3 even pieces.

2. Warm fudge topping microwave for 1 minute to soften. Spread fudge over top of each cake piece.

3. Spread softened ice cream over 2 cake pieces. Stack cake and ice cream layers on top of the other.

4. Place remaining cake piece on top. Carefully wrap torte in plastic wrap and freeze 2 hours or overnight. Garnish with chopped peppermint candy prior to serving.
